At $140/night this is what I get:

1. No AC (which is fairly common in Europe so it's not a deal breaker) but...
2. You can only open the window about two inches and there are no screens to prevent bugs from coming in. I've gotten all sorts of annoying visitors
3. Because there's no way to effectively bring fresh air into the room it smells like sweaty butt. I also love getting blasted with hot air when opening up the door. /s
4. Their "continental breakfast" is nothing more than hard-boiled eggs, cereal, and bagels
5. My fridge barely keeps anything cold despite having it turned to max
6. The shower is small. I'm not a big guy at all but I can't tell you how many times I've smacked my elbow on the faucet in it
7. To get to my room I have to go through the main building, go up a flight of stairs, traverse an enclosed glass (free sauna ig) bridge to my building and then up 3 more flights of stairs and there's no elevator in my building. My knees are screaming especially after a workout
8. No fitness center. They technically have one but it's closed for renovations. The problem is the website shows what appears to be a fully renovated gym. Either their photos are fake or the gym is closed for other reasons. Fortunately I was able to get access to the main fitness center several blocks over.
9. You have to sit on the toilet at an angle because it's 3" from the wall and there's a radiator in the way.

Guys, come on. Let us open the dang windows and add some screens. I could have easily looked past everything else if I could have at least done this one thing.

More than enough amenities for a short stay. Most of the rooms are updated and serviceable.

I walked into my room and there were five bugs on the walls. They put me on the third/top floor. The hottest floor and I know there were more rooms available on the lower levels. Very small space. I will recommend staying on the economy. I realize there is no AC but there are also no screens and the bugs were bad. Prices downtown are cheaper as well. They won’t get me again.

Staff is always so kind. Manager is an amazing person who is always trying to make things better. Rooms are a little out dated in the second building. Of course it's Germany so no AC and it gets hot in the summer. Location is great for walking around post or down into town.
